On February 23 CCI had the honor of supporting our E TN TSPE annual banquet and upholding our tradition as Speaker Sponsor. Hundreds of engineers, students, and teachers from across Knoxville attended.

Project Update! CCI is excited to see the construction progress of the new Amazon Delivery Center (former site to the Knoxville Center Mall-East Towne). The new 200,000+ Delivery Center, which is scheduled to open in 2022, will bring 700-800 jobs to the area.

Cannon & Cannon is a proud supporter to be involved in the Inaugural "Tee Up for a Child" CASA Golf Tournament, which raised funds needed to continue to train new volunteers and support CASA's active volunteers in their work on behalf of abused and neglected children in Loudon, Morgan and Roane Counties. Cannon & Cannon is dedicated to the communities we serve and is honored to sponsor and support the CASA of the TN Valley's mission: To provide a powerful voice for abused and neglected children by advocating for each child, within the court's jurisdiction, by recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers in order to ensure safety, permanency and an opportunity to thrive. http://www.casatnvalley.org/

Keeping up with Cannon & Cannon traditions and celebration, Cove Lake State Park provided a very scenic place for the annual CCI Fall Picnic. CCI employees and families celebrated together, enjoying Tennessee's natural beauty with fantastic eatery from Rickard Ridge at Cove Lake Catering (2 time winners of the Memphis BBQ contest!). Competitive and fun games were aplenty: Kickball between parents and kids | Flag football | Cornhole | Frisbee | Basketball. Speaking of kickball, are the characters in front of the backstop from the movie “Sandlot?” A quote from one of the kids who is a 5th time participant at the CCI picnics: "Cannon & Cannon works hard and has a lot of fun together!"

The Sevier County Tourist Corridor is the entrance to the #1 most visited park in the United States. This Corridor sees millions of cars on a yearly basis. CCI is so fortunate to help The City of Sevierville and the City of Pigeon Forge, partnering to perform engineering design services to help solve the congestion issues and assist with creating a safe and efficient movement of traffic and pedestrians in the popular Sevierville Corridor. Cannon & Cannon is also proud to be working with The City of Gatlinburg on a mobility study for downtown on the Parkway. Keeping up with Cannon celebrating 25 days of 25 years (of winning), CCI employees enjoyed a Smokies Baseball Game at the Smokies Stadium in Sevierville, TN on Friday, July 30th. The Smokies took on the Chattanooga Lookouts to a nearly sold-out crowd. As we go through the month of March celebrating the accomplishments of women, CCI would like to recognize our very own in the engineering field. These leaders augment the community to reflect the needs of the people and the spaces they occupy. Our women are paving the way and setting an example.
