Clinton Streetscape Project – Water & Sewer Infrastructure Improvements
Cannon & Cannon, Inc. (CCI) partnered with the Clinton Utilities Board (CUB) to deliver professional engineering services for the City of Clinton’s Streetscape Project in downtown Clinton, Tennessee. The project revitalized the streetscape along Main Street (Broad Street to Cullom Street), Broad Street (Charles G. Seviers Blvd to Main Street), and Market Street (Main Street to Cullom Street), enhancing the area’s infrastructure and aesthetics.
CCI led the design efforts, addressing the impact of the streetscape design on underground and overhead utilities. During the conceptual design phase, CCI developed a preliminary streetscape plan to guide the project. Our team provided engineering design services to support CUB in replacing and rehabilitating critical water and sewer infrastructure, including:
-
Water Line Upgrades (3,850 LF Total):
-
Replaced 735 LF of 6” watermain on Market Street (Main Street to Cullom Street) with 8” DIP.
-
Replaced and upsized 1,815 LF of 6” watermain on Main Street (Broad Street to Cullom Street) with 12” DIP.
-
Replaced and upsized 860 LF of 6” and 2” water line along Cullom Street and Commerce Street (Market Street to Church Street) with 6” DIP, ending at a bathroom building on Commerce Street.
-
Replaced 435 LF of 6” watermain on Broad Street (Main Street to Charles G. Seviers Blvd) with 8” DIP, with CUB later deciding on its inclusion in the Downtown Streetscapes Contract.
-
-
Additional Improvements:
-
Replaced water services and meter wells along the corridor.
-
Replaced fire hydrants in place and installed one new fire hydrant on Commerce Street near Church Street.
-
Through strategic planning and innovative design, CCI ensured the integration of modern water and sewer infrastructure, supporting the City of Clinton’s vision for a revitalized downtown while enhancing utility reliability for the community.
