Eagle Bend Roadway Improvements

Located in Clinton, Eagle Bend Road is located along the banks of the Clinch River. The roadway experienced roadway and slope distress – due to large storm events and flood control measures. Portions of the road and slope had extreme settling that necessitated road closure. The City of Clinton contacted Cannon & Cannon, Inc (CCI) to provide a corrective plan of action.

CCI provided a topographic and boundary survey with subconsultant geotechnical exploration. Using this data, CCI teamed with a geotechnical engineering firm in order to provide a corrective plan of repair. CCI coordinated with the City of Clinton utilities in order to protect gas utility infrastructure. CCI prepared the engineered stabilization plan and coordinated with the City of Clinton during construction.
