Norris Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
CCI provided grant application assistance and engineering services for funding the solids handling and screen improvements under separate contracts at the Norris WWTP for the Norris Water Commission. The improvements spanned two separate time periods. The first project involved solids handling at the WWTP by the installation of a half-meter belt press, and the second project involved the installation of a rotary screen. Norris is a small community that heavily utilizes grants for their capital projects.
Phase 1 and 2 included:
PHASE 1
New 1/2 meter belt press and support equipment in a dewatering building
PHASE 2
New headworks (influent rotary screen)
New blowers
Change out of voltage to the plant and new electrical switchgear
New instrumentation
Chlorine contact chamber modification
CCI helped the City of Norris apply for the grants to fund both projects.
